The Sony Style Store in the International Plaza

International Plaza has lots of snooty salepeople, stores, and patrons in general, but on Memorial Day I found out that one store - the Sony Style store - has a higher set of standards. Two of the salespeople there - a nice girl at the front desk and a male associate - helped to ensure that I got my hands on the very last CD boombox capable of playing MP3's and ATRAC-3 files. The product was discontinued by Sony a few months ago, so the last one available in-store was the display model itself. I've owned a number of serious Sony products -many since 1993 - that have always worked flawlessly and I'm sure that this one will last just as long. They also gave me an extended 2-year warranty in with the original cost of the boombox, since it is the display model. They really helped to restore a tiny sliver of faith in the human race for me..just a little..but it's a start. I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for a combination of the highest quality products available and great personalities.
